Is it too much to ask for to have at least one presidential candidate who does NOT pledge their allegiance and fealty to a foreign country? Can we get at least one candidate who declares unequivocally that no foreign country, no matter how good a friend, will determine our foreign policy for us?
I fear that if we have one more generation of politicians who willingly (no, eagerly) declare their allegiance and loyalty to foreign powers we will land in a place where we need to declare our independence once again.
